Celebrate NAVAD 2018 in Remembrance at the NMA
As part of the Remembrance Project, the final extensions to the new British Nuclear Test Veterans memorial in the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas will be unveiled in a dedication ceremony lead by the BNTVA Chaplain. This will be followed by an afternoon tea reception.
The event will take place on 3rd October 2018 during our celebration of National Atomic Veterans Awareness Day and is free to attend. To reserve your seat at the complimentary afternoon tea please send details of your party to:
PO Box 8244
The improvements to the memorial include two new engraved marble panels depicting the test sites. The brass plaques that used to be on the benches by the memorial will also be fixed to the new memorial and there is an opportunity for anyone wishing to purchase a brass plaque in memory of their loved one for mounting on the memorial.
If you have a direct connection to the memorial at Alrewas; you may have attended the very first dedication ceremony of the old memorial or have some other connection to this special place, we would love to hear from you. The Remembrance project is developing an online museum and we want to collect as many memories and images as possible to fill the virtual museum.
